This is a stock car with 170,000 miles on it..

2 problems with car...

1. when i started the car when it is cold it seems to miss fire rpm back and forth ??? ( the idle screw is all the way in and when it warms up it drops to 600)

2. This just started yesterday. When I stop at a light the idle goes down to like 500 and the car seems like it running on 3 cylinders untill I give it gas and then it is perfect. Car drives great and not all the time does that... I thought maybe injectors or ???? But changed the plugs wires and rotor sooooo??

If anyone know any fix let me know i would apreciate all input thanks

 

It would be a good thing to do a compression test and come back with soem results...

 

For #1 when you say misfire do you mean it just jumps up and down?

Cuz I have that and it could be a RANGE of small problems on your car. It could be your 02 sensor or anything else. I've read an entire thread regarding this problem on TI.net and everyone had a diff problem/solution.

Don't waste your time - yht problem sounds like the idlve valve.

 

raise your idle to 750rpm (unscrew the idle screw a bit)
