Hey Guys,
I'm a newbie and do not want to get ripped off. I know pricing varies depends on setup but how much, rouhly, would it cost to rebuild bottom end? rebuild head? on GSR motor

That depends on a huge number of factors, no one can come close to giving you an accurate estimate. Talk to a couple shops about whats wrong with your motor and what you want done.

Frankly, rebuilding an old Honda 4 banger isn't really worthwhile unless you do most of the disassembly and reassembly yourself, if you want to drop your car off somewhere and pick it up with a rebuilt engine you will be spending several times the cars value.

thank you. There's nothing wrong with the motor but is 200k miles. I was thnking of rebuilding with performace parts. specifically for a turbo setup. I will shop around at several shops in Dallas and check out the pricing.

If I was you I would either get a Short block from Laskey Racing Online Store A full rebuilt short block Economy build (OEM sleeves, bored to 81.5mm) with CP's and Eagle rods...$2500 that's a great deal! I once paid around the same price in the past rebuilding 2 of my B series short blocks and it was right around $2,500 each time! but the engine never lasted because the engine builder was not good. Laskey is a great engine builder and you have piece of mind! ask them about the cylinder OEM rebuild for the head as well.

Or choose a street engine from 4piston.com B-Series STREET Short Block (NA, Turbo, Nitrous) | 4 Piston Racing for $2,400 you cant beet that with a stick ball bat! now the head is a different story with them if your looking at a stock rebuild contact them and ask for a OEM rebuild for the head and get pricing.
