power windows
anybody know if theres a switch that can be bought to provide auto up and down for honda/acura cars. (just like the auto down on some drivers side switches)
I know I could put two of those switches in and get the pass side too (down only). But I am looking for a solution for roll up too.. (cant help it I'm lazy)

its not as simple as just a switch.. but I have a window automation module on my alarm... it has express up and express down for all windows (and sunroof if you bought another module to control that).. you can get a Clifford Smart Windows module (or something similar) that does this.. when you arm your alarm... your doors will lock (if you have keyless entry) and your windows (and sunroof if you got the extra module) will close automatically...
while in the car you tap the switch for it to express down... and same for up.. if you want it to stop midway or whatever just tap the switch again and it will stop there.. I usually just let them express down.. then I don't even close them.. I just park and arm my alarm and they close automatically

keyword "window roll-up module" on ebay.com... cost like 10 bucks each
controls 2 windows and u can it wire to go up or down, then u hook up the trigger to the alarm u have
if u want ur windows to roll down, just buy a bosch relay for 50 cents each.
one relay for each window.
86 = positive
85 = negative
30 = motor
87a = switch
87 = positive
if 87a and 30 are NC circuit, then ur fine
but if they are NO circuit, then u have to flip 87 and 87a around
use either 86 or 85 as the trigger wire to roll down windows: DO NOT USE BOTH
i have 5 relays and 2 of the 10 bucks window module in my gsr and it works great:
2 relays for windows up (manually)
2 relays for windows down ( manually)
1 relay for moonroof open ( ran out of relay for moonroof close)
1 window module for auto window close ( both windows)
1 window module for auto moonroof close
i have a clifford IG6000 with remote start, window/roof control, glass sensor, shock sensor, and proximity sensor. and i install it all myself so i know wut i m talking about.

u can get them on ebay ( like me
), but i wouldnt advise u to cuz they switched out my insignia siren for a soft chirp one
. go to ur nearest car audio store. they will have them. i know 2 sites that might be helpful too:
http://www.discountave.net/
http://www.12voltdc.com/clifford.html
go here for wiring directions and such:
http://www.clifford.com
http://www.directed.com
for info on ur own car's wire colors:
http://www.the12volt.com ( it may or may not have ur car in their listing
hope this helps
