Uhm...what exactly is it? Is it just matching your rpm's as you change gears? ANd how exactly do you do it...I read you pretty much change gears without disengaging the clutch??
SOrry for the dumb question, I was just curious

The first answer would be to SEARCH.
Anyways, Power shifting is just not letting off the gas when you shift.
The other type you described is just stupid, not sure of what it's called,
but you pretty much try to push it into gear without the clutch at a certain rpm.

just remember the wise words of a famous driver, "granny shiftin, not double clutchin like you should" remember that, power shifting is stupid, in order to shift fast apparently you need to double clutch. lol.

Haha, sorry this is actually really stupid but I thought it was funny the first time I saw it. Was looking up powershifting (got my answer, thanks all), and came across this stupid video.

I think he is referring to heel-toe shifting when he said rev matching...which I'm sure you know is not stupid, and actually makes driving smooth.
But yeah...that 'method' of shifting when you sneak a shift in without using the clutch is kind of pointless.

that method of shifting without using the clutch is usually used by truckers cuz my grandpa knows how to do that **** and he said truckers do that so they dont have to push the clutch in since they have so many gears

He "thought" thats what power shifting was, not actually Rev matching.
And yes, matching the RPMs when you downshift is good for your tranny.
