So just recently out of nowhere (I haven't messed with anything), my power locks won't work at all if I have the door open. They work fine with it closed, keys in or out, but just quit when I open the door. Anyone have any ideas what's causing this? All I could think of is maybe a cold solder joint that loses contact when the door moves/opens, but has anyone else had this happen and fixed it?

 

my driver side door does the same. does anyone know whats the deal with this?

i think thats normal, so that you don't acidentally lock your keys in the car.

 

No it never did this until a couple days ago. Say my keys are out of the ignition, and I'm holding the handle up with the door open and pressing lock/unlock, I get nothing, it used to work.
