Potential cam/lifter issue
I recently replaced the head gasket on my 98 Integra LS and while putting everything back together, I noticed that the exhaust camshaft turns really easily and locks into place every 90 degree turn that it makes.
This also causes the timing belt not to line up with the gears correctly causing slack on the belt even when the tensioner is fully tightened down. it does this with every lifter unlike the intake camshaft which rotates exactly how it should with no issue. The sound is caused by the cam lobes sliding off of the lifters and im not sure how to get the cam to hold them down correctly and not slip (if that is the issue) Any help diagnosing this would be greatly appreciated. Ignore the valve cover gasket LOL that's an issue for later.
