Default piston question

searched recent and archived topics couldnt find anything...i was wonderin if anyone stock compression of a gsr...i am wanting to put in higher compression pistons....would i benifit much from jdm ctr or itr...if so which would be better...would i need to retard my timing...sorry if you have had this question a million times but any help would be appreciated

I can't understand a word you just said. Where is the question? Please re-read it and make changes so it sounds some what like english

i was wonderin if anyone knew the stock compression of a gsr?

i am wanting to put in higher compression pistons....would i benifit much from putting in ctr or itr pistons?

if so which would be better?

would i need to retard my timing?

I believe that CTR pistons would probably be your best bet. It'll put you at close to 11.5.1 which is fine with 92 Oct gas. You can also get 25mm oversized.

Yes, you would have to bore to use oversized, I've heard about $50 for just a .25mm over. The difference in high and low compression pistons has to do with flat and rounded (high-dome). Try doing a search, especially in the tech forum.

Ok, GSR stock compression= 10.1:1 with JDM ITR pistons ~11.5, with CTR pistons you are put all the way up to 12.0-12.5:1.
