pirching shocks
pirch is the area the spring rides on. so by pirching i'm guessing you mean alter the struts by moving the pirch up or down for ride height. the pirch is welded in place, the only way to move it would be cut and re-weld. some struts come with adjustable pirches (coil-overs) and then you can buy coil-over conversions that come w/ a threaded sleeve and pirce system that can be adjusted up and down. on some aftermarket struts, you can repirch into keyed points, but you have to remove the strut and go from there.
just so we get this strait:
strut = part of suspension that is neccessary, i.e. you remove it and the car will be on the ground
shock = part of suspension that you could remove and still drive w/o. trucks have shocks (along with plenty of other cars, usually on a solid axle setup) if you took the shocks off a truck, it would be bouncy, but the truck would still be able to drive just fine.

just because a shock is adjustable doesnt mean it has an adjustable perch.
the only shock i know that the perch adjusts is the koni yellow.
all other 'adjustable' shocks mean that you can adjust the softness or stiffness of the dampening.
