Default Phaerable.Net ECU?

Just curious to know if anyone has purchased a P28 ECU from Phaerable. I have a legitamate P28 Mugen chipped ECU but It has no rev limit. I still want to run obd1 so I am considering purschasing an ECU from them with a rev limit. So my real question is can anyone give me their opinion of the company and their ECU's? I recently read a thread and the person was having ecu problems and they were running a phaerable.net p28. Any information you guys can give me on them and their ecu's I would greatly appreciate it. Car is a 1998 Gs-R converted to obd1, not sure if that matters though. Thanks

it's a mail order ecu. if you have a stock motor they will be fine, if it's a build it's only designed to get to to a tuner. problems often happen when someone does a crazy build then expect a base map to run perfect.

Motor is lightly modified currently, but you know what I'm doing next year. Thanks for pointing me towards the bump stix. Im going to go with them and the endyn springs and retainers. I am probably going to use the arias's just because I had them in an ls/vtec setup previously and they were pretty good. I don't really want to buy another set of pistons because I already have them. I am going to get new rings and wrist pins from arias though and have the wrist pins correctly fitted. Thanks for the continual help. I really appreciate it.

i can understand that. i would also call arias and talk to them about the compression you're running, temperature and what piston to wall clearance to use. you might, and i mean might be able to go tighter since it's NA. in a boosted setup you run those really loose but an NA engine won't have those kinds of temps. .0035 is common for a 2014 but if it's a really true piston with a great bore i bet you could go tighter. that warm up slap is just hell on rings. if arias didn't see a problem with .0025 that would be a big help with ring life

good job on the bumpstix, endyn is a great company, great tech support and a killer product
