performance questions
1992 Acura Integra B16A. I have had a couple problems getting off the line at the drag the tires just won't seem to grip so I was woundering if i lower it will i get better grip in the front?
also how much with changing compressions affect power?
I know stock it was pushing about 160HP at 7600RPM's and 111 torque at 7000

It could be a number of things. What is your method of launching? How hard you can do this is dependent on your suspension setup and tires.
Lowering the car won't help too much. When you launch the car, the weight is transferred to the rear (away from your front tires) causing you to lose traction. Stiffen up the rear so the "squat" isn't as much and you don't get too much lift off your front end.
Technically the way you want to launch at the track (for best results and not caring about your clutch/axles/tires etc
) is this. Rev up to just below your peak torque rpm. When you go, slip the clutch fast. Don't just drop it, slip it, and slip it fast. Too fast, and you'll spin or bog. Too slow and you'll just burn your clutch and take off slow. Takes lots of practice.

you have just been taught, the way of the racer!! Listen closely and learn...this is very good info

I was just reving to like 3500 if that and droping the clutch. what do you mean by slip the clutch? what should I be running the 1/4 with this set up? well I wanna lower the car so when I do I should get some stiff springs? what are some good ones to stop the front end from coming up or back end from dropping?

Revving to some lower rpm and just dropping the clutch might be good if you're umm "street racing." But it does you no good on the track where reaction time, trap speeds, and ET's are important.
By slipping the clutch, you are essentially dropping it a bit slower. Lift up your foot/leg fast but not so fast that you're "dropping" it.
You want to rev pretty high. Your post said your peak torque was 111ft-lbs at 7000rpm, right? So you want to keep your revs at maybe 6500-6800rpm. That sounds high, but that's what you need to do. How fast you slip the clutch after that is dependent on the condition of your tires and your suspension setup.
For example if you have shitty non-gripping tires, you can't do it too hard, or you'll end up spinning nowhere. If you have slicks, then you'd want to do it much harder (almost to the point of dropping the clutch) or else you will bog and also go nowhere.
It is very hard, not as easy as you think. Once you can get this down pat, you can worry about your power making modifications.
Example: A while ago, I wasn't a very good driver. My friend in a STOCK 2000 Civic EX could beat my modified Integra LS just because he could get over a car length ahead of me on the launch.
Is your car lowered at all? For just a daily driver, it's really not worth it to get a "drag race" setup where you have incredible tough spring rates in the rear and whatnot. Pretty much any lowering spring have slightly higher rates anyway just because the car will be lower. Your launching SHOULD improve slightly. If you just learn to launch correctly, your springs shouldn't make too much of a difference. Practice launching in a parking lot and try to get better. It will make a world of a difference.
EDIT: I'm not sure what times you should be running currently with your setup. I'm not too good at estimating.....but maybe around the same time as a Civic Si? (Not the newest ugly looking van ones....the previous ones
)
