PCV valve replacement
Ok, I need to replace the pcv valve on my 94 RS. Unfortunately, I don' t have a helms yet
. But it needs to be done pretty soon, my car is drinking oil.
Anyways....I can't seem to locate the little booger. I know its in the general vicinity of the intake manifold, but I don't know exactly where or what to look for. Also, should I fork over the cash for an oem valve from the dealership, or just get a cheapy from autozone?
Last question, are they pretty easy to replace? I don't see how it could be very hard, but I haven't done it before so....
TIA,
SupaTeg

it's underneath the intake manifold on the head of the car. it seats into the head and the tube it hooks up to points towards the firewall initially. it can be seen by standing on the passenger side of the engine bay. it's pretty easy to get it out of the bottom seat...but the tube it's connected to has a death grip on the little bugger.
no clue what animated_life is talking about, but Migs is right. just that lil plastic thingy thats circled. shouldnt even take more then a minute
Ok question,
Someone mentioned the LS does have a PCV but I have never been able to find it. If I may ask, where is it? If you know where it is, may you please point it out or a pic?
Thanks

Pull this hose off of the valve cover. It will be an "L" shape plastic piece. Detach the hose clamp. Should take about 1-2 minutes to replace.

yeah, my car doesn't have pcv valve in the location of that picture.....I have the old 'lego' valve cover.
So if its not there, its under the intake manifold?

The PCV valve is on the intake manifold. folow the vacume hose from the top of the manifold and it will lead u right next to the head where is is located at. it is on the back side of the head.
there is one. Its on the intake manifold. Its down on the runners close to the engine itself. same shape.....maybe be tan or even red.
ragejed, sorry dude, I did click the link. But its still kinda hard to tell from that website.
Those last few pics are exactly what I needed, thx to all who contributed
