Default PCV valve replacement

Ok, I need to replace the pcv valve on my 94 RS. Unfortunately, I don' t have a helms yet . But it needs to be done pretty soon, my car is drinking oil.

Anyways....I can't seem to locate the little booger. I know its in the general vicinity of the intake manifold, but I don't know exactly where or what to look for. Also, should I fork over the cash for an oem valve from the dealership, or just get a cheapy from autozone?

Last question, are they pretty easy to replace? I don't see how it could be very hard, but I haven't done it before so....

TIA,
SupaTeg

it's underneath the intake manifold on the head of the car. it seats into the head and the tube it hooks up to points towards the firewall initially. it can be seen by standing on the passenger side of the engine bay. it's pretty easy to get it out of the bottom seat...but the tube it's connected to has a death grip on the little bugger.

Pull this hose off of the valve cover. It will be an "L" shape plastic piece. Detach the hose clamp. Should take about 1-2 minutes to replace.

the PCV Valve on the B18B (RS, LS, GS, SE, etc) is much easier than on the GSR.. migs is right for the RS in question.. animated is right for the GSR...

Ok question,

Someone mentioned the LS does have a PCV but I have never been able to find it. If I may ask, where is it? If you know where it is, may you please point it out or a pic?

Thanks

That's a newer gen LS valve cover, the older LS's (94-95 ??) don't look like that, or have the PCV valve in that location.

So then where is the PCV for a 94-95 LS?
Is there even one?

yeah, my car doesn't have pcv valve in the location of that picture.....I have the old 'lego' valve cover.

So if its not there, its under the intake manifold?

The PCV valve is on the intake manifold. folow the vacume hose from the top of the manifold and it will lead u right next to the head where is is located at. it is on the back side of the head.

Yes just follow the vacuum line, you cant miss it. I have a 95 LS in my hatch and I have replaced it a few times. You can get a replacement one from autozone or wherever. I have used a autozone one and a OEM honda one, both worked the same. Its very very simple to install. Basicaly yank the old on out, disconnect the vacuum line, then do the reverse with the new PCV valve. The one pictured in this thread is from a obd-2 96 up LS, where the PCV is located on the valve cover. Even easier to change! Good luck
