Passenger window switch?
Hey guys so my passenger side window switch hasn't worked since i bought my teg 4 months ago and my girl has been pestering me to fix it and i have no idea what would cause it to not work. Both the switches on the drivers door work to roll them up and down so is it as simple as a bad switch or fuse of some sort? i just dont wanna go buy a new switch and not have it be fixed(im not one to throw parts at something) so if anyone has had this issue any info would help thanks.
Test before buying.
Testing the switch is simple, unplug the window motor, connect a 12V test light, [not LED type] to the two leads, it does not matter what lead the test light probe or ground clip goes to, the probe to one lead the ground clip to the other lead, turn ign. on and rock the switch, test light should light up either way the switch is rocked, probably not happening on your car.
If not, test for power at the switch, [ign. switch on] if it is a 92 Integra it is a blue/black lead at the switch, if good test for grounds, that will be the blue/yellow and blue/green leads at the switch.
My guess is you will find both grounds as window works from drivers switch, and if you find power, replace the switch, if no power, find the break in the power lead, most likely in the door harness boot between the door and chassis, a common problem, but more so on drivers side. 94
