B16 or B18c
aight well I have a 90 Da9 integra and my stock B18a finally gave out so iv already pulled it out. I have the option of rebuilding that or dropping in another motor. I have been looking at both the B16 and B18c. The B16 is considerably cheaper, so I was wandering will the B18c make more power with addition later one? Ill install the motor now and im half way to a complete turbo kit so ill boost it. What im wandering between the two is will the B18c make that much more power. It will be a daily driven street vehicle. Also the B18a's usally put down about 240whp on 10psi, what is the usual whp for a B16 or a B18c? Thanks

well first off your putting a 1.6l into a heavy car. Personally i would go with a GSR motor in a DA. DA'S are lighter then DC2'S so it should be faster then a regluar GSR. And if your planning on boosting i'd still stick with the GSR. but trust me on this one....you'll be disappointed with a b16 in your DA.

Re: B16 or B18c (DarkDragon)
alright, heres how it works. If you ask whether you should go with something smaller and less expensive vs. big and expensive - of course honda-tech is going to say go for the bigger and better. It all depends on what works into your budget. But if you plan on boosting, i wouldn't suggest the jdm b18c (farily high compression). If turbo is your final plan, re-building your b18a would probably be your best bet.

Re: B16 or B18c (VtecAdvantage)
I know the B18c has high compression, so I was gonna use forged internals woth 9.0-1 compression. what Im really wandering is how much more power will the Vtec motor make over my B18a?
