So I changed the thermostat and radiator but my dc still over heats. The water pump is new there's no leaks that I can see. So what could be the problem???

Ditto the above^^^ more info.

Starting with MM&Y of car?
What if any mods?
Does rad fan turn on?
Have you actually checked the engine temp. or are you going by cluster temp. gauge?
Have you bled the system properly? 94

My bad... so its a 2000 gsr but I have a lsv in it. B18b1 block and b16a2 head. I don't think the fan turns on cuz it started to over heat and nothing. Both top and bottom hoes gets hot. The bottom takes awhile to worm up. I don't know if that's normal. But yeah. I'm thinking its because of the fan. So I switched out the relay for the cooling fan with the ac fan and the fan stayed on so I took it right back off. I didn't bleed it yet. I jus added more coolent to it.

Possibly air bubbles in the system then, you need to properly bleed it anytime you add/remove parts from the cooling system.

Ok well since you know the fan isn't working, fix it!
Why would you take it somewhere to bleed?!?!

Take the rad cap off start the car and let it run til it gets hot, preferably if the fan worked, until the fan kicked on and keep topping it off while its running.

Pretty good bet the pump is not the problem.
As Mattb16teg suggests, fix the rad fan problem.

Start by unplugging the "Rad Fan Switch" and jump the plug, if rad fan turns on, replace the RFS. 94

Thanks everyone. I think I might need a new radiator cuz when I start the car and let it warm up all I see is steam or white smoke coming out near the fan. But the thing is I don't see a leak. As for the fan. I kept the car on for about 15 minutes and the fan still never came on. I switch the ac relay with the fan relay and the fan jus stayed on even after the car was off.

uhh you 100% it's coming from the radiator?

Go to your local auto zone or parts store and rent a cooling system pressure tester.. Make sure the radiator is full and pump about 15psi into the system if it holds good.. Well kinda.. If not then find out where its leaking from.. Sometimes you can hear it wich really helps.. Good luck..

Also are there any codes alot of times the coolant temp sensor goes out and says your over heating when your really not.. If theres no codes and no leaks get a dvom and test the temp sensor i think theres a thread on here explaining how to test it by resistance

go ahead and pull out the fans and shrouds that way you can look at the rad better. Then you can see the radiator... also look at the very bottom of the radiator. I have had small leaks and they always pool up in a channel in the lower part of radiator.

I've got the same problem, it over heated while driving on the freeway, then once I came to a stop, it cooled down, I thought it was my fan, but no it isn't because the fan works, no leaks, thermo was replaced a couple months ago, and as for the water pump, I'm hoping it's not that. its stock b18

as far as the over heating and the fan not coming on i can almost bet all you need to do is bleed the system. i had the same problem and it was because of air in the system. not sure about the smoke though.

have you checked all the lines to make sure that they are not clogged? but as people above have stated check the temp sensor to make sure its working properly as well as trace all wiring to the fans to make sure they have good connection

Well I turned over my car today to see if my car would over heat and I drove it around for a little. It didn't over heat but when I. Stopped to check under the hood I saw that thr radiator had white smoke come from the bottom. But the thing is I don't see a leak or hear anything. The bottom radiator hoes warms up and has pressure

OHM out the sensor, I don't remember the specs though, Look those up.

I'm really baffled by the smoke but you must have some type of leak, where exactly is it coming from?
You could also try a new radiator cap. When you take off the cap does it sound like unscrewing the top of a soda bottle?

Thanks ill try that. I got a new cap about 2 months ago. So I don't think it could be that. I'm thinking of doin a leak down to see if the radiator is bad or not.

You mean a radiator pressure test?
Yes do that.

And don't ever assume just because something in new that it is "good".

I've had several thermostats and minor things be bad/defective when buying brand new.

Yeah that's what I mean... and yeah your right about new things could go bad. But my hose warms up so I think the new thermostat is good.
