Icon6 over heating problem?

Hey what’s up I need some help….. I have a 1990 Integra GS bone stock I have had it for a year with no problems. I live in so cal and I get HOTT out here. I recently noticed that my cars fluid in the radiator will boil when I drive for a while. It has not over heated yet in fact the gauge will never go over normal operating temp. The water will just boil and come out the reservoir…my friend said that my head gasket is going out but I haven’t found a loss in power and it dose not throw any smoke. At all in fact it passed smoke with flying colors in march… anyone ever had this happen to the or can anyone help me?

but theres really no way to c if your radiator clogged and im sure ur temp sensor is fine but i would check your oil and see if theres a green tint to it to see if theres coolant in there....pull your thermostat out throw it in a pot of boiling water and see if it pops open ur thermostat might b stuck shut and not popping open to let the more coolant flow through

coolant overflowing into the resevoir is a clear indication of a bad radiator cap

Have you change your thermostat it won't hurt to replace cause how would you know if it was replace withing the last 5 years or more? Also check your engine oil dip stick if it looks running (like the way water runs) that's a sing of coolant mixing with your oil and defenitely change your headgasket! Get a manual repair and read a few times and get familiar with the instructions don't buy cheap parts on ebay you'll regret it and will double your expenses. Watch when you remove hoses they are old and easy to crack. Keep us posted.
