Default Over Heating bad!!!

Ok so the overheating actually started last night. If I sit with my car on too long it starts to overheat and it does it quick. Today going to work and comming home I had to be constantly moving or else it would overheat. WHen I sat at a light too long it would start to hit the H so i would turn it off. However my radiator fan works fine. I went to autozone and the one guy said that it might be my thermostat, or the waterpump, then the other guy said that it had to be for sure the head gasket. Comming home from the store I found that if i cruise 50 it will stay right in the middle. I don't even know where to start. I checked all of my plugs and none of them are clean. So I don't think that it is the headgasket, I heard that whichever cylinder it is leaking in the sparkplug will be clean. Help me people!! I have a B18B with a T28 turbo..

Is the radiator full?

You'd be surprised at the number of overheating cases where it's just an improperly bled cooling system. And even so, Honda's tend to run just fine with half-*** jobs of bleeding them. More often than not, the problem can be fixed simply by filling up the radiator.

My bet is the radiator fan switch (the brown (???) connector on the thermostat housing) is bad. I have had 2 different cars have them go bad around 100k miles...

To temporarily bypass it, undo the wire harness, and take a paper clip and short out the connector. The fan should run all the time when the ignition is on.

Not great for your alternator and stuff, but you won't overheat your car.

The Honda dealer prolly has them in stock, but I beleive AutoZones, etc, are a lot cheaper... 5 minutes to change it out...

I second that!!! My girls accord had this happen not to long ago. the car would also cool down if she ran the AC. I told her to get the fan sensor switch and i would install it... but she let it go to long and ended up toasting her Radiator!!! easy 50$ fix turned into a 400$ fix...I suggest you take care of it soon or it might cost you
