Default over heating

alright i got a 94 integra ls and i just replaced the thermastat and some of the lines but after driving when i turn it off it sounds like its about to melt or somethin but when it heats up the H/C gauge only goes a little less than half way and stops it won't go any higher and i don't think my fans are kicking on i don't know if they kick on while im drivin im not sure? is there anything else i can do to keep it cool or how do i make sure everything is working?

Make sure you got all the air out of the system, if you have air bubbles traped the car can overheat and that's probably what you hear when you turn the car off are the hot air bubbles bubbling in the radiator.

after you bleed the coolant system, and your car still over heats do a block test to see if
it caused your head gasket to blow
