Oil Pump Issues
Ok so ive looked around alot of forums and see nothing on oil pumps going bad. Last nite my oil pressure light started flickering so i went home immediately and parked my car. Today a started it up and my oil light was on as soon as i started it and my engines RPM was abnormally high. I replaced my oil Pressure sending unit not too long ago. So I know thats not it. Are these signs of a bad oil pump? I change my oil every 1000 miles so im kinda stressin here.

That is way too often.
Forgive me, but I have to say it: Did you check your oil level?!?!
Loss of oil pressure is really bad, don't drive like that. If it's not leaking out all over the ground, either that new oil pressure sensor is bad, or your oil pump is going, or something is blocking the line. Maybe you have some teflon tape blocking the sensor.

yeah the first thing i checked was the oil level?! it was perfectly fine. As far as the oil pressure sending unit. its been on since the summer and no problems. so i ruled that out. What,. if anything would get in the way of the oil pickup line? I already bought the oil pump so if anybody has had this happen, hit me back before i start to take all this stuff apart.
