I have a 2000 gsr and when I check my oil it is ~3mm higher that the top circle I was wondering if this is bad or will the teg be ok....I was just wondering if the oil pressure is too high or if it will create a problem with the crank....etc


When I change my oil I use 4.25 quarts every 3,000 miles Mobil 1 5W30

That's less than half a quart, not enough to worry about. Just keep driving it.

However, in the future, I suggest you put four quarts in first, and see where the oil level is. Then add only the fraction of a quart that is needed to bring it up to the top dot on the dipstick (keeping in mind that the distance between the two dots on the dipstick is one quart).
