Default OBD2B

I have a 2000 GSR and need a new ECU bc they broke into it a few months ago and ripped the Immobilizer chip out. My CEL light stays on permanently.

Question: Is it true that I cant just take an OBD2B from another car and put it in my own? If so what are my other options. Would like to stay OBD2B bc the immobilizer helped save my car i bet.

Thanks,

I don't think it's that easy. The immobilizer chip is pretty unique to the car. If you must, you can bring it to a honda shop and they can reprogram the new ecu to fit your car. It cost my buddy $40 to program a p73 OBD2B ecu to his GSR.
