Default obd2a obd2b differences

if i have an obd2b motor will the obd2a harness be the same sensors etc... what is different between obd2b and obd2a... and how to tell what i have? i swear i bought the obd2a to go in my del sol but a friend told me he thinks i bought the obd2b. theres no harness with it so i cant look at plug ends. is there anyway to tell? or any reason to care? also i was told the obd2a will plug into my obd1 chassis, at shock towers i have a 94 del sol. thank you.

i know the ecu is diffrent but i think it will plug up, i think i used a 2000 ITR harness which i believe is obd2b in my 98'' gsr chasis which was obd2a. on a 2001 spec ITR swap. but i think i used most of my 0bd2a sensors on the new motor. I think the diffrence is the rpm tach, since im using a 0bd2a itr ecu it will look for the rpm signal from the distributer harness plug and since im using the obd2b engine harness it doesnt have the wire for rpm tach that goes into the dist. plug because it reads the rpm signal from the obd2b ecu's, I just ran a wire from the empty slot in the dist. plug all the way to the corner of the engine bay where it goes into the fire wall on the driver side right where the brake booster and cm resivore is located, the harness goes to a few plugs, one of them has the rpm tach that goes into the fire wall harness, i just taped it in the wire from the dist to that plug and i got my rpm tach. I think its the blue wire.
