Default OBD2->OBD1 issues

hey, i just bought an LS out of a crashed teg, its an obd2, and i plan to swap it into my 5g civic which happens to be obd1, since im using my stock wiring, would it be possible to get an ECU from a obd1 teg and use it to run the engine?? any help would be greatly appreciated

Yes, but you'll need a OBD1 wiring harness.

you need a obd2 to obd1 wires harnest. you get one for about 150 bucks. this will let you run an obd1 ecu in your obd2 car. get it?

I'm not sure if the stock motor in your civic uses the same wiring harness as the integra motor.

i know about the obd harness converter, its 125$ shipped from JDMsh!t.com, the only issue for me is, you cant retain your stock ecm location, i was just trying to see if there was another route

eh screw it, im just gonna get the converter, my friend said my civic harness isnt the same, my other friend mentioned something about if i take the integra dashboard then it will all be good and i wont need any converter, is this true or is he on crack??

if your car is already an obd 1 civic, then you can basically run any obd 1 ecu on that motor.....just plug and play! I have an obd 1 LS ecu for sale...pm me if your interested!
