so... i got a 1990 integra LS and im putting in obd1 gsr and itr hydro tranny. was wondering if there will be a problem with the vss cause cuz the car is a cable driven speedo and the tranny uses the newer vss that plugs into the harness. wondering if the cable vss will plug into the hydro tranny and if i do this would it throw any codes for not having vss? or is there a way to use the newer type vss.

i had this problem well not really a problem .. you can take the digi one out of the tranny and put the cable one in ... it will work fine .. just grease it up with some hi temp grease and you will be fine .. dont lose the lil clip eather !

 

so the vss doesnt go to the ecu? it goes to tach and then sends signal from there to ecu? so i wont throw a code? thanks!
