Default OBD Differences for Distributors

So here's my specific situation. I have an OBD1 LS engine that I am going to swap into an OBD1 Civic. I do not have a distributor at the moment and was told either an OBD1 or OBD2 distributor would work because they are the same internally (just need to change plugs on OBD2). My question is would this be the same situation if I wanted to use an OBD0 Distributor? Is it the same internally as an OBD1/2 version? I've been searching and haven't found a definitive answer yet. Thanks in advance!

No worries, I found out that the crank position sensor has a different amount of teeth on it (16 vs 24). Still don't know if there's a way to mod it, but it's definitely not a direct swap.
