O2 sensor question
ok guys i live in fl and on sat it was raining really bad out here i went down the wrong street and i went into about 1 1/2 of water. ok now heres my problem theres nothing wrong with with the car it turns and drives fine but i notice that my air/fuel gauge is on lean when i push the accelerator or doesnt even come on then when the car is idling the gauge sometimes lights up all the way rich and stays there.. also i got the check engine light but i turned the car off i was gonna do the code but the engine light went away. i also checked the wire to see if it was connect right and everything is fine.. do u guys think my O2 sensor went bad
Check for ECU codes, maybe it's still stored after the light went out?? After the light went out is the A/F gauge still flaky?
I've driven thru water deep enough to put the O2 sensor underwater. (I don't have a CAI...) It didn't screw up for me, but since the sensing element of the sensor is ceramic maybe it cracked???
