O2 Sensor Problem
sup all.. i just purchased my 2000 integra gs. it has quite a bit of aftermarket parts already on the engine itself, one being aftermarket headers. the only problem is, there is no where on the new header for the factory o2 sensor to tap into. i just attended an auto show here on oahu where my friend said there is a way to trick the computer into thinking there is an o2 sensor there without having one. is this the best way to go? or just go pick up an o2 sensor, drill a hole further on down the line and screw it in there? ps: the engine light is on, i took it down to a shop downtown and they ran the computer on it, and the only thing wrong is the first o2 sensor.. obviously because its not there. im just getting horrible gas mileage and i need an answer to this soon, filling up your tank every five days sucks when gas prices are like $2.40
what kind of headers are on the car?
i wouldnt drill a hole personally.
maybe you should get rid of the ones that are on there and get some that have the hole for the oxygen sensor.
sell yours and buy one just like it with the money, so you wont lose out that much if any.
