Default o2 sensor help!?

hey i just recently installed my apex ws2 like couple days ago. the check engine light has been on. and now my speedometer doesnt even work. it doesnt show how fast im going. please help with some info. sorry for the newb question.

Edit: o yea. i have a 00 gsr also with K&N intake. Im thinking its the o2 sensor from the cat. i think i might have tugged on the wire a bit. might have messed it up. not really sure.

You use an obd2 code reader. Just take it to a shop or autozone and get them to scan it for you.

i think its cuz i pulled the o2 sensor alil bit when i was messing with the cat. the o2 sensor wire that goes into the car must have either ripped or came loose.

Dont just guess what it is, thats why cars have check engine lights. They will scan the ecu for you at autozone and will be able to tell you what the problem is.

Some cars run into limp mode when they throw a code.

I forget which codes exactly will cause your car to do this but Ive been running on a CEL for O2 sensor for a year now and I've never had a problem. (My test pipe's O2 bung is out of reach for the sensor)

It's running a bit rich so I'm sure performance is hindered slightly but nothing drastic.
