noob vtec question

Default noob vtec question

k i have a 95 gsr, with short ram intake, dc header, and type r exhaust. My friend has the same setup but with greddy sp2 exhaust. I cant hear or feel vtec kick in at 4,400, on mine, but his crossover is very noticeable, my engine has 60 his is like 50. any ideas????

i can barely hear/feel vtec at 4400..
all i have is sri and an N1 exhaust.. but before i got the exhaust i couldnt even hear vtec at 4400.. and before i got the intake (which was before i got the exhaust)i could barely hear the secondaries open up at 5800..

thats what i was thinking, just wanted to make sure! guess it doesnt help coming from my s2k's vtec to a tegs!

Yeah its the queit exhaust..But mostly its the gsr dual plenum intake manifold..
