Default NOISE

hey guys i have a 94 teg ls, and when i bought it about 5 months ago everything was fine, no engine noise no noise at all. but now all of a sudden about a month ago my driver side rear break is SCREAMIN. what it sounds like is when you need new pads that screatchin noise when the brake is applied, but this noise is constant , i dont have to apply the brake. the noise is very loud. i have checked the rotors (no grooves, very smooth) i have checked the pads (like new, plenty of meat). so i need to know what else could it be, or what are some solutions.

Could be the dustshield behind the rotor rubbing on the inside.

Could also be the dust shield. Make sure thats not rubbing, and also spray some brake cleaner in there. If it's not a wheel bearing, it would suck to spend all the time and money replacing it. Check the easy stuff first. Good luck.

You need to check the inside of the rotor aswell (the side you cant see). Your other side might be fucked or the pad might be worn to nothing. Also, those bolts that the caliper slides on sometimes get sticky and freeze up. Could be holding the pad to the inside of the rotor.

I just took a bottle of cuervo down to my buddys machine shop when I replaced my hubs and bearings. I would imagine it's not to expensive. I did however take my knuckles off for him.
