Default no compression?

We have a 95 GSR and we did a compression test.

( 1 ) ( 2 ) ( 3 ) ( 4 )

cylinder 1 reads 90
cylinder 2 reads 60
cylinder 3 reads 00
cylinder 4 reads 60

Is it possible to have these low numbers and have 00 compression on one? I mean the car runs and everything. No signs on unburned gas on spark plugs but seems to run rich on the exhaust.

Will the car run at all?

you just said the car runs and everything but then you ask if it will run at all? But anywho I once bought a gsr motor for cheap from a guy. Ran it for awhile then found it had low numbers so I tore it apart and rings were bad due to the fact that it used to be turbo'd.

Yea its possible but it will run like crap. Pour about a oz of oil in the cyl that has 00 compression and retest it. Do the same with the other cyl. If the compression bumps up your rings are shot. Another and much better way on testing is performing a cyl leak down test. You can pinpoint where your motor is loosing all of its compression at.

For istance is it carbon holding a intake valve open you will hear air comming out at your air intake, exhaust valve leak out your exhaust, bad rings out you oil cap, bad head you'll see bubbles comming through to your radiator cap.

You will also with a cyl leak down tester see how big the leak is by a percentage of air flow going through the gauge.

But honestly sounds like its time to rebuild the engine or get a new one
