Default Low compression problems

I did my compression test today on my 1995 Acura integra Gsr and my 1st cylinder was 140psi, 2nd cylinder 200psi, 3rd cylinder 195psi and 4th cylinder 180psi and wanted to know what could be the problem for low compression numbers,thanks in advance

Certainly either valve adjustment, burnt valves or bad rings, rarely a head gasket.

What's the compression ratio? 200 seems very high and makes me wonder about your gauge. How's it running, was there a particular reason you checked it? I've had motorcycles with 9.5 to 1 compression that weren't getting 200 psi.

My '90 according to the book; Compression Ratio spec is 9.2 : 1, and should be 135 to 185. Yours may very well have higher a higher compression ratio. Somebody here will know.

190-230 is common for a healthy motor

Its consistency your looking for in the numbers, the numbers will vary depending if you test it cold or at op temp or wot, your First cylinder is off by too much! most likely its the ring lands. You can try and pour a can of engine restore from auto zone ect.. before you refill the engine with a fresh oil change, it helps to restore some compression and power but it won't fix the actual problem just a band aid until you rebuild the engine. I had a busted piston and ring land and low comp on that cylinder and it drove very weak obviously but the can actually helped to stop the blow by coming out the valve cover and restore some power in the engine.
