Default Next mod???

Hi, I am trying to figure out what mod I should do next to get my quarter mile times down further. My best now is a 12.7 @ 111 with a 1.89 60 ft. I have a integra gsr with a rev hard turbo kit and hondata at 10 psi, dynoed at 289 at the wheels. 2.5 inch exhaust, victor x manifold, cam gears, completely stock block and head. Stock axles and open diff gsr tranny. 22x8x15 M&H slicks, skunk2 rear drag springs 1000 pound, slight weight lightening, t3/t04e turbo. I am wanting to spend less than $500 so no complete motor build. I have thought about 24x9x13 slicks but am worried about axles and am not sure if I will notice a gain over the 22x8x15 slicks. 3 inch exhaust might help to, but I also might need to get my Hondta retuned after that. I figure most of the guys on here have gone down this path so let me know what think would be the next best buy? Thanks

3in piping from Down Pipe back out, Straight as possible, then get a cheap but good turbo muffler. Ask for prices at ur local performance muffler shop.

I don't want any shorter gearing right now because at the end of the quarter I am running out of 4th gear. If I buy a tranny I am going to have to get taller slicks. The LSD would be nice, does the SI tranny come with a LSD or just the type r? I have thought about the 3 inch exhaust a lot, how much is reasonable from a local muffler shop? I had my 2.5 put in by this one shop and they charged $100 for a pipe from the downpipe to the muffler. I think that is pretty good but am expecting more because of the downpipe and 3 inch size. Also, can they reuse my turbo flange and cut it out for the 3 inch size or do I need to buy a new flange? Thanks

I would save up some more and do some block or head work.
What about getting some spray for it, most of the nitrous is $500 usually.

Would spray be safe with the boost on a stock block? It would have to be a wet system right? Why do people say that dry systems don't work well with boost. I have rc 750cc injectors.

i Wouldnt risk spraying it since you have no internal work done and plus ull be having two power adders, and i dont think ur engine will hold. But this is wut i think. If you want try it go for it. Oh by the way nice 1/4 mile times. My lil bro says that when he gets his gsr he wants to run 12's without internals, but know i think he can do it too. Not bad for no internal work . MAD PROPS

I think my next mod will be some traction bars (Lakewood engineering) and the 3 inch exhaust. Does anybody know of a place to get cheap downpipes?

What do you think about the OBX LSD or the Phantom Grip? I have heard the PG is no good but the OBX is good. Also, do any of you install them yourself or have a shop do it? Cost??

PG just sucks
Never used or seen in real life, someone running the obx. If it was me, i would just save up for a Quaife.

No thanks, shipping would probably be a lot for something that big.

I already have a homemade NOS intercooler sprayer. It only cost me about $200.

Most LSD's are $800 to $1000.

Check out this thread where they are talking about the OBX LSD. $350 to the door.

For that price savings I might give it a shot, either that or a Type R LSD. I can't fork out $800 for something so small.

it's a toss up between LSD or larger exhaust piping.

that 2.5" exhaust is really restrictive at 10 psi.

I guess the LSD will bring down your 60', but the exhaust piping will raise your trap speed. Which one you looking for?

be safe, do both LSD and larger exhaust. OH and throw some nitrous on there too.
