New Motor rebuild now car wont start tried searching but nothing getting fuel and some spark
just got my new motor back gsr block sleeved forged internals and a built gsr head i put the timing belt on tried to crank over the motor and it wont start. i am deffinitly gettin fuel i have it at 40 psi, the battery was on a charger while cranking it (optima), and the motor tried to turn over but it sputters with wut seems to be a bad miss, it starts up for a few seconds but then dies out with me giving it some gas too, it has plently of gas, the spark plug wires are good, i put new plugs in it, and the dizzy is good cuz i used it back in october, help
if you have spark and fuel you have a timing issue. hondas are simple if the timing is close and you have fuel and spark it will start
you know i just had an idea. check your firing order thats probably it. that is the easiest mistake
As it was said before, if you have fuel and spark, your timing is off. Make sure everything is lined up at TDC (mechanical and electrical) and make sure your plug wires are in the correct firing sequence (Helms manual).
Also, make sure sensors are connected. We were working on a JDM H22 in an Accord. All timing was fine, everything was in order. It would start, smoke, choke, and die. Turned out we missed the MAP sensor since its on the firewall. It runs fine now.

everythign is lined up correctly on the tioming belt, the firing order on the injectors and the plugs wires are good too, does anyone think it could be the dizzy since it was sitting for so long or no

if you have fuel and you have spark it must be timing
distributors dont just go bad they wear out. what is the firing order you are using and what plug on the cap are you using for no 1 and are you going clockwise with your firing order or counter clockwise?
how did you determine tdc on the crank? and on the cams?

the firing order is fine i checked that a few times , but i lines up the crank by the marks on the oil pump housing and the cams had both the teeth pointing straight up and lined up even with the oil passage way for the head, i have skunk2 cam gears kinda tricky to align
