New to integras
What's up guys and gals, I just got a 95 gsr with 66,000 miles on it and was wondering what the best headlight bulb would be. I'm pretty sure a 4300k hid in a halogen projector would still blind people and scatter the light most of my driving is at night on deer infested roads, I'm just looking for the best output in my projectors

OEM bulbs aimed correctly have been more than adequate for me. If you want brighter (but burned out after a year or so) bulbs, go with Silverstars. Can't speak for HIDs.

Re: New to integras
Ive had my fair share w/ lots of light setups
Best setup ive ever used is my Retrofitted S2k =D.. definitely no glare and scatter here... but thats only if you have the cash to shell out...
^ funny story, the only reason i went s2k retrofit was because i too drive on "deer infested" roads and need the extra lighting lol.
I have never found Halogens sufficient for me (silverstars being the best bulbs ive used)...
PNP kit HID's in OEM Headlights do scatter... maybe not as much as other cars out there w/ pnp kits but for sure they do.
The best pnp HID (non-retrofitted) setup ive used is (believe it or not) cheap Angel eye headlights w/ DDM HID kit, They have a rather clean cutoff and decent scatter.. Mine is a 98-01 so the longer out headlight does cause a bit more scatter than the 94-97's
Heres a picture for reference a few years back when I had the Angel eye/DDM kit setup
notice the cleaner cutoff.. the cutoff is a bit slanted due to not being on even ground.
In the end, if you want to save money while getting the best lighting possible would be clean/ buff headlights if in need of restore (will help w/ visibility) and :
option A: stick w/ OEM Halogens and get some silver star bulbs or something
Option B: PNP HID kit in OEM headlights/angel eye (Not the best but still work better in integras than 90% of the cars out there w/ pnp kits)
Option C: If you have the cash to spend for the best, do a retrofit.. .. If you do go this route, IMO S2k setup is one of the best but too expensive and not too far better than tsx retro's.

Thats what i thought too until i got some 4500k's.. clearly the lighting was much better.. It was not by much but definitely noticeable.
Imo, anything higher than 5k is just for show. If you want the best lighting then get 4300k. It gives you the purest white light that you can possibly get.
OP: TSX retros are great. I borrowed a friends set for a few months before i did my S2000 retro and they were amazing. I was actually a bit disappointed with the results of the S2000 projectors. I mean, they were still amazing, even more than the TSX projectors, but maybe I expected that I would get superior lighting over the TSX. Instead it only seemed to be a a bit better with a cleaner cutoff.
If i could go back, I would just go TSX Retro's and use the extra cash towards some other upgrade. None the less, it was still worth it and I had fun retrofitting it.
Good luck

A friend of mine had a 8th gen civic and he had his sent off and had somebody retro some tsx projectors in with 4300k hids and they had a very sharp cutoff, I checked out the write-up on the retro fit, so tsx's it is, thanks for all the help
