Okay i got an 98 gsr yo i love this car but i drive it alot, i got 105,000 miles on it right now right, but i wanna hook it up i dont want to put money into the engine like camshaft etc. and i have to go out soon and get a new motor cause it goes on me...like how long are these motors good for? Why would it blow? what can i do to prevent this?

I like to race people here and there...but i wanna get camshaft, new timming belt, headers, catback,pulleys,etc. But i dont want to blow my engine racing it...like 75thos of those miles are highway miles...so thats a pluse in a way...so could anyone help me out..

 

Honda motors are good for over 250k miles WITH PROPER MAINTENANCE. You can always rebuild the motor with better than factory parts.

 

uhhh your first post wasnt very clear do you or don't you want to put cams in the car, care for it dude, dont get cheap mods, and build the motor up, it will last for a LONG time
