New ecu throws code
Well the ECU is not exactly new but it's new to my car. So the story is that mine was stolen and people here were great in answering questions. My car is a 91 GS and I got another ECU out of a 91 LS. I'll keep the seller anonymous until I contact them. So it took the seller (who owns the business that sell parts) a week to even send the part. Well I finally get the part this morning and try it in my car. Well the good thing is that my car starts but the CEL came on. So I do my homework and find out it’s the barometric pressure sensor that the ECU doesn’t like. So I do a little more homework and find out that this is something that is internal on the ECU. So as far as I can tell I need another ECU. I reset the ECU and brought it up to operating temp but the CEL came on again.
So my conclusion is that the ECU is bad and needs to be replaced. Thoughts?
