Default New Dizzy now no start! need quick answers

my boy just got a new dizzy for his gsr and we put it on now the car wont start...any thoughts?

you can't just slap it on...

distributor timing has to be correctly adjusted

try moving it in small increments b4 you try to start it...

hopefully you will get it into a range where it would at least fire up the car

cant get it to start...and i put the old one back on now it still wont start

The car will start with the dizzy in any of the positions, though dead center is a good starting point. Why did he replace it to begin with? Is the motor turning over? Check your fuses as well.

Plug wires in correct order? Connectors to the dizzy plugged in? I know it sounds simple, but sometimes it is the simple things that are forgotten.

Start over, check for fuel, then check for spark. Also check your timing belt for correct cam/crank timing. Sometimes the gears will skip a tooth or several teeth.

Yea check to make sure the spark plug wires are in the correct order in the engine and on the dizzy and that the dizzy is for the right OBD for the car.
