Default needle is off

help!!!!the other day i was removing the indiglos off the cluster and i accidently moved the RPM needle.....now im off about 2000rpms.... does anyone know how to fix this or do i need to buy a new cluster....

unless u have a computer with the right stuff to recalibrate the rpms.. i think u might have to get another cluster..

I broke the needle in my old 97 EX and had to buy a new cluster. They are pretty cheap though.

did you just remove the needle and simply reinstall it in the wrong position? if thats the case just take it apart and do it again... this time moving the needle back 2000rpm's

iight thanks guys....a friend also said to take the needle off and put it back to zero when the car is off

well what you would want to do, if possible... would be to carefully remove the needle noting where it was previously pointed and then back-back-back it up 2k (or however far your tach was off).

the reality of it is though, your stock tach isn't dead accurate to begin with... and now it will most likely be ever more innacurate....
