Need some advice please!!
Ive got a 97 integra ls and my car was driving fine until today. While i was driving, my "check engine light" came on and my car started to idle funny. Everytime i would gas and then let go, my rpm would drop to 0 and raise up and down as if it was going to die out. This happens right when i gas and put it into neutral or when I step on the clutch. I'm thinking its my O2 sensor or my distributor. Any input on what going on? Thanks in advance everyone.
You should have done a search for "check engine light" and it would have returned many threads that would tell you exactly what I am going to.
To check what code your ECU is throwing. You will have to jumper your ECU (I don't know how to do it on OBDII but if it is the same as OBDI there should be a green or gray connector, you have to jumper the connector with either wire or a paperclip or something.)
After you jumper the ECU to run in diag mode you turn the car on. The ECU will flash a certain number of times. Watch it carefully and write it down; I usually let it go through the entire cycle like 4 times to make sure i have the right stuff written down.
Now you take the codes you wrote down and you either have to get a Helms manual or you can post the codes in this thread and someone will look them up for you. I would but I am not big on OBDII.

well i already did the self-diagnostic test and it came out to 8 blinks which means it the "top dead center" sensor. Anyone familiar with this sensor and how to fix it? TIA
