I was wondering if getting a new air filter would make that much of a diffrence? If so, how much would it cost and what kind should I get?

 

I'm not a pro, but I would say it won't make any noticeable difference... but get a K&N if you are getting one.

A lot of it depends on how shitty your current filter is. But I'd say so.

I'd splurge an intake. They come with a free filter...

So why do you need a quick answer? The best advice anybody can give you is to research like a ****. Make sure you know what you want before you buy it..

Or else you'll end up buying stuff twice, which sucks *** and you always lose money on the deal..

So don't rush your decisions.

 

Do you just want a filter? Or do you want a whole intake setup? Just a air filter ( drop in) No will do nothing if your lucky 1hp. A whole intake system for ex. aem or iceman. They will help a little you will feel a difference approx. 5-15 hp.

 

i saw a dyno of a maxima that made 4 hp to the wheels with just a K&N filter...

i doubt you'd see that on a GSR though

 

I was just asking because a friend of mine said that with a new filter i could get an extra 5 hp...But i guess not so im gonna save a little more and go for the CAI Thanks

Before you buy anything, do a lot of research, from places like H-T, talk to diff shops, etc.

There is a lot of misinformation out there...
