damn my luck with pick and pull
every time I go there the part I need is gone and theres like 10 cars that had it and someone took all of them
had to grab an ac compressor cuz the other 5 integras were already missing the compressors. even though I see them left in the car hanging all the fn time except when I need one

So sad but true.
With that said, I get just about anything I need from PicknPull but a compressor is not something I would get used if I could not do an "identification" on it, [check to see if system is contaminated with hydrocarbons].
A contaminated compressor will contaminate the rest of the A/C system. 94

The idler wheel, the one the belt goes on should spin "freely", the clutch plate, [connected to compressor shaft] will be much harder to turn.
If the compressor is out, [on bench] the clutch plate can be turned by hand, but it will not spin by itself, if you plug the suction and discharge ports with your fingers it will be a little harder to turn and you should feel suction on the finger covering the suction port and pressure on the finger covering the discharge port.
Both the suction and pressure along with being a little harder to turn are all good things as it is an indication the compressor is good, it does not mean the compressor IS good only an indication that it may be good.
It is how I test all compressors, [even new ones] before I install them. 94

Re: need a new ac compressor which cars interchangeable?
I got one from a 95 integra
they both spin about same now I'm not sure if both are bad or mine is actually good
the problem with mine is the motor shakes very bad when I turn ac on
the rpm doesn't drop when its on it just vibrates very bad.
my idle is adjusted properly everything else seems to be good.. motor is well maintained
I thought the compressor was bad or seizing
but now when the belt is off and they both spin with about same amount of tension I'm wondering if something else is the problem...
both pulleys spin freely without catching when disengaged.

I thought so too checked and adjusted all of them
as soon as ac comes on it vibrates like a ****.
mostly at idle only started happening about 3 months ago

Hard to say without putting a set of A/C manifold gauge on to see if you have a restriction, maybe a bad expansion valve or plugged condenser or filter. although anyone of them would tend to bog the engine.
The idler wheel on both will feel the same it is the clutch that should feel different, but only if you plug the suction and discharge holes, that is only a very basic test and does not tell you if the compressor is good, only if it is bad.
All you can do is install the "new" one start the engine jump the A/C clutch relay and see if you still get the vibration with the new compressor, if not then go ahead and recharge the system, don't forget the oil and at least a 1hr vacuum.
I would also replace the filter, with a new one.94

Wait, are you saying that if you take the belt off and turn the compressor clutch in your car it feels the same as the compressor you pulled out of the 95 Integra.
If you are able to turn your compressor by hand at all, [with a refrigerant charge in it] it is defiantly no good. 94

I have a Honda CRX with a b18a. The car does not have air conditioning. I picked up a 1991 civic with a d15. It was all original with air conditioning. I'm trying install the system in the CRX. The bracket from the d15 doesn't fit the b18. The bracket that I picked up for the b18 doesn't fit the compressor. What can I do? It's getting hot, lol
