Hey!! I want more acceleration, and was wondering what to get for an intake, header and exhaust. Also, I am getting new rims in the spring and was wondering what color to get on my black gsr.

Welcome to Honda Tech I just transfered from the ricers at clubsi to here. This is a common question try using the search first beforeyou post as a lot of questions have been answered before. Any cold air intake is fine: AEM, iceman, the comptech icebox is a lil more expensive but there is less chance of hydrolock. Header depends really on what your plans are for the car. This really applies to all mods: you should have a defenite plan b4 you start modding. Assuming you just want come boltons with maybe some mild cams like ITR's later I would still suggest the JDM ITR 4-1 header but keep in mind you will have to get a 2.5'' cat to make it fit. Or if you want more midrange I think some quality 4-2-1 header like apexi witht he 2.25'' ID since with just boltons and ITR cams I don't think the header would be choking the engine of air supply so you might lose a few up top big deal. Exhuast is exhuast basically you just want to make sure you get a good quality cat back or even cheaper is custom mandrel bent exhuast to the muffler then just pick an axle back that has a nice sound to it and you have a cheap new catback system.

 

Welcome to H-t. I have a 98 GSR and I currently have a Comptech Icebox and I am planning to go with a JDM ITR 4-1 header, high-flow cat and the comptech exhaust maybe. That would be a good start
