I have a obd1 gsr and I have this problem with my tempt sensor and I was replacing it and I accidentally broke some sort of sensor that was right on the left it it had some sort of pointy end does anyone know what that is if do please help check engine light is on and yes ive tried to do some reseach

 

if your talking about the one on the end of the block under the dizzy, the single plug is the temp gage sensor. http://www.partstrain.com/store/deta.../201-1530.html

 

"tempt" sensor, never heard of this "tempt" sensor

could be 3 "tempt" sensors, Intake air temperature or Coolant temperature in the coolant housing and engine coolant temperature


i doubt you broke the IAT

if your referring to the sensor in the coolant housing i guess he could be referring the knock sensor on the back of the motor

and if your referring to the coolant sensor on the head then refer to the above post

BTW i simply google searched and i found everything i needed to reasearch this thread for you
