get the starter tested. easy to take out and free testing at any auto parts store. usually a single click means the starter solenoid isnt working.

There's no need to have a parts store test it. Verify that the power cable and tranny ground is good. If they aren't good, fix them. Then, if the car doesn't crank when you do the bypass, replace the starter.

changed the copper contact points in my starter for 20 bucks and she fired right up. thanks for the help guys!
