Need help with pully
Hey, so i was driving home yesterday and just as i was about to pull in my driveway i heard this horrible noise. Turns out i believe the tensioner for the AC broke. I have some pics here and you can just make out that the bolt actually snapped. I need to get my car to the shop to fix it but i dont know if i should just take out the tensioner and try to remove the pully or have it towed. If you gusy think it would be safe and not damage anything to just take off the pully i could save myself 150$ on towing fees....also why would the tenstioner bolt just break like that.

i would say take out the tensioner and the belt off the harmonic balencer but if you do this you will have to take the ps pump belt off in order to get the a/c belt off. and then you should if you want ps hook it back up
i had the same thing happen to me after auto crossing. Im not sure if the bolt broke or got loose and fell out. Just carefully remove the pulley and take off the a/c belt (my belt was fried after the pulley fell off so i just cut the belt with scissors which made it real easy to remove) Then you can drive it to your shop and have them repair it.
Does anyone have a diagram of how this goes back together? I just need to go get a bolt but i need to make sure its the right bolt, and then i am not quite sure how the tensioner pully attaches...its just a bolt but does it need a lock washer or anything? One of the parts diagrams would be relaly helpful!
