Drive Belts Squeaking???

Default Drive Belts Squeaking???

My belts beganing to squeal and I was told I could just tighten them to solve the noise could anyone help me out on how to do this? Thanks...

Figure out which belt squeaks.
Replace it.
But, if its the alternator belt theres an adjustment bolt.
Same with the A/C just find it its obvious it will be a bolt that has a place to be adjusted.
Same goes for the Powersteering belt i think.

Could also be the idler pulley, sometimes they need to be regreased.
Get a Haynes manual and you should be all set. You just loosen the bolt, slide it a tiny bit forward check to see if the belt is looser than 1/4 of an inch, if not tighten down should be no more squeak.
