Need help on B20 Swap- ***Pics inside***
Hey guys. I'm removing my LS engine from my car and installing a b20b engine. I ran into a problem with my swap. There is a sensor located near the crank pulley and there is nothing like this on the b20b motor....
btw i took these pics on my cell phone
Here....
These pics are from the b18b block. Notice those wires and the connector.
Now the problem:
*B20B*
Does anyone know how to fix this problem???
Any help is appreciated.
thanks guys

ez fix, at this stage, might as well swap to a Vtec oil pump and water pump with the Vtec timing belt. The GSR or Type R oil pump will have a spot for that sensor.

well if you are running on obd2 you will need it
and like they said use the type r oil pump
but if you are going to use an obd1 ecu you dont need it...
and that sensor is your crank position sensor..

I removed my b16 oil pump and placed it into my b20. Wasn't that much of a challenge, but other than that my oil pump is pretty new.
Thanks for clearing that out for me

On OBD1 motors its located in the distributor. Good news about B20 motors is they utilize the same oil pump as the vtec motors (efficiency), however I'm sure you already knew this.
