alrite guys, i have a major problem. for some reason, my tail lights are continuously on. so because of that, it drains my battery n i cant start my car. when i jump it, it starts fine. however, the tailights are constantly on again. so everytime i turn off the car, the tailights will be on and it drains up my whole battery. i was wonderin if anyone knows the reason why this is happenin and if there is any solution to this problem. thanks for any help and have a nice day..

 

have you tryed checking the brake light switch i do belive its behind the pedal, it might be busted or jammed,.... you could just pull the brake light fuse untill figure out the problem

 

is the brake light fuse located inside the interior fuse box?? n it is labeled brake light or tail lights? thanks again sir

my jeep does that from time to time, if i pull up on the brake pedal it usually shuts off, its probably your switch.. next time you get a chance pull the brake pedal up (like the opposite of if you wanted to stop the car)..

unless its just the running lights that are on
do the lights get brighter if you step on the brake? if they dont then its your brake lights (possible switch as i said) but if they do get brighter then its you running lights, which i dont have any ideas on that

its the tail lights, license plate light, and instrument lights, so ya put it back in before you leave cuz tickets and being rear end blow ***

 

well..even when i pull it out, it still stays on.

 

try pulling fuse number 1 it says turn signal and back lights , but im sure thats the reverse lights, check your brake light switch try pulling the pedal up like the other guy said
