Well you need a dremel with a cutting wheel to make the hole for the sidemarkers.

To wire them up...its up to you.

-strip, twist, tape
-stip, twist, solder, tape/heatshrink
-strip, crimp w/butt connectors
-loom or tape

Also, you could wire them up to flash only when you signal/hazard or you could wire them up to be on all the time(when the lights are on) and flash when signal/hazard

Its been a while, but green/white on one side and green/red on the other should be the right.

It is always best if you solder the connections followed by heat shrink to protect the metal from corission and from grounding out on another piece of metal.

I don't know what car you drive, but for me, driving a 1997 Integra I would splice off of the smaller blinker bulbs.

It is also important that you use the same gauge wire as different gauges yield different resistences.

I would also recommend that when you have the spot where you want to put the side marker, that you make a guide or something out of cardboard or whatever so that you can simply flip it over and you will have the same exact measurements on the opposite fender.

Don't forget to wear safety glasses...those dremels throw sparks!

run the wires under the fenders above the splash guard strait to the corner lenses and as said above, strip and solder the wires together right before the wires go into the turn signal, heat shrink once done,
make sure before u solder to test that the sidemarkers work right

heat shrink tubing u can get it from a radio shack or pepboys.

one more thing... my friend rigged the side markers with two six inch wires on each marker, i always thought that you were supposed to connect them to the wires that were close to the connection for the blinker but im wondering if the wires that im connecting these to are on the inside of the fender when i drill the holes?

its cool... let me try to rephrase

my friend connected two 6" wires to each of the plugs of the sidemarkers. i thought you were supposed to make them long enough to reach the corner lights to connect them there. but from what i understand now, the wires are on the inside of the fender and when i drill the holes, those 6" wires will be long enough to connect to the corner lights right?

you're probably need to extend and add some wire to reach your corner light.
