Default need help

my temp. gauge all of a sudden went to hot like if it was over heating..but i found out its not over heating..right when i turn on my car the gauge goes straight to hot..my car has antifreeze full..do u think it could be electrical problem of some sort?

the symptoms sound like a bad thermostat--

but when you say it goes straight over to hot right when you start your car--
then i start to curse the electrical on them old DA's

That would be my guess. But could also be Electrical

If it's a 90 teg like in your avatar then under the dist. there is a single wire going to a temp sensor. Pull the wire from the sensor and if the guage goes down then replace the sensor.
This is all dependent on whether or not the guage goes to hot when the engine is cold.

Just have the ignition on. this way the guage is operating.

yea that was it..its the temp sensor..just picked one up
